PNC's Annual Shareholders Meeting to be Held April 24 at PNC Firstside Center

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) today reaffirmed that its 2001 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. (eastern time) at PNC Firstside Center, 500 First Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.

James E. Rohr, president and chief executive officer, and Walter E. Gregg, Jr., vice chairman, of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. are scheduled to speak. The PNC executives will discuss financial and business performance and strategies, and the presentations may include forward-looking statements.

Live webcast and telephone conference options are being made available. The live webcast, which will include slides and audio from the meeting, will be available at http://www.pnc.com/.
