PNC Bank Branches to Accept Donations on Behalf of The Red Cross to Aid Relief Efforts

PNC Bank, N.A., a member of The PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE: PNC), has announced that all of its more than 700 branches in six states will be accepting monetary donations on behalf of the American Red Cross. The money will be used to assist relief efforts resulting from the terrorist events on September 11, 2001, in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. The funds will go directly into an account that PNC Bank has set up on behalf of the Red Cross and will be used by the agency to aid victims of this national tragedy.

Customers and non-customers alike are welcome to come to any PNC Bank branch to make a donation. Donors simply specify that their contribution is for the PNC Bank Disaster Relief Fund, and the bank will provide a receipt on behalf of the agency. Donations can also be mailed to PNC Bank, National Financial Services Center, c/o PNC Bank Disaster Relief Fund, P.O. Box 3489, Pittsburgh, PA 15230-9459. Customers who have questions can call 1-888-PNC-Bank.
