PNC Bank Completes BankAtlantic Conversion in Tampa as Part of Statewide Expansion
Regional President Named for Central-West Florida

TAMPA, June 13, 2011 – The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) today announced it has successfully completed the conversion of 19 branches in the Tampa Bay region from BankAtlantic to PNC Bank.

The overall branch conversion was completed without any major issues. PNC, which is one of the nation’s largest banks with 2,500 branches, now has more than 120 branches and nearly 400 ATMs throughout the state of Florida compared to two offices in 2008.

As a result of PNC’s plans for continued growth in Florida, the bank also announced Joe Meterchick, of Sarasota, as regional president of Central-West Florida. The 30-year PNC employee will be responsible for the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. Craig Grant, of Jupiter, will continue as East Coast regional president with a focus on Daytona, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and other areas.

“Florida is an important region for PNC with great opportunities for continued growth,” said Peter Classen, executive vice president and head of PNC’s office of regional presidents. “Craig and Joe will use their extensive experience and knowledge of Florida to lead our team and deliver the PNC values and brand to our customers, communities and shareholders."
