The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC), announced that Donna C. Peterman has joined the firm as senior vice president and director of Corporate Communications. Peterman will lead PNC's internal communications, media relations, business and executive communications and corporate events functions. She will report to Vance LaVelle, PNC's chief marketing officer.
Peterman most recently served as managing director and region head for UBS Americas, where she was responsible for communications and branding in North and South America. Prior to that, she served as senior vice president and director, Corporate Communications for the Paine Webber Financial Services Group and executive managing director for Hill and Knowlton. Peterman earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Active in the industry, Peterman is chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Securities Industry Foundation for Economic Education, as well as a member of the Securities Industry Associations Public Trust and Confidence Committee. She has also earned numerous honors for her professional and community contributions. She received the Security Industry Association's Distinguished Leadership Award in 2002, and was named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in PR" by PR Week in 1999. In addition, the YWCA of New York City named Peterman at its 27th Annual Salute to Women Achievers in 2000.
