PNC Bank To Provide Personal Banking Services To Loyola University Chicago Students and Employees

CHICAGO, June 13, 2011 – PNC Bank, N.A., and Loyola University Chicago announced today a new university banking relationship with an emphasis on money management and financial education for the school’s nearly 16,000 students, faculty and staff.

As part of this arrangement, PNC will host financial literacy workshops for students and employees on Loyola’s campuses. Topics covered will include basic banking, credit management, savings and investing, identity protection and home buying.

The relationship will also include a new customer service center, opening in the Centennial Forum Student Union. The location will include on-site customer service representatives and an advanced function ATM, capable of accepting deposits and cashing checks down to the dollar.

“PNC’s demonstrated commitment to financial education, innovative tools and extensive branch network in the areas our students and employees call home make this relationship a good fit for Loyola,” said Bill Laird, senior vice president for finance and chief financial officer at Loyola. “We look forward to working together to enhance the campus experience for our community.”

Other features include:

  • A total of six on-campus ATMs, including in the customer service office (1), Lake Shore Campus (3) and the Water Tower Campus (2).
  • A co-branded PNC Bank Visa® Check Card, available to any PNC customer, to be used at ATMs and to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted.
