PNC Names Deborah Guild Chief Security Officer
New Position Bolsters Cyber and Information Security, Fraud and Physical Security
Deborah Guild, Chief Security Officer & Chief Information Security Officer

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 6, 2017 – To further emphasize the importance of addressing cyber security and fraud for customers and the company, The PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE: PNC) has created a comprehensive, dedicated security organization to be led by Deborah Guild as chief  security officer and chief information security officer.

We are now in a position to bring together the considerable investments we’ve made in security technology with the broad expertise of our team to provide a broader approach to security,” said Steven C. Van Wyk, executive vice president and head of Technology & Operations.
    
In her new role, Guild will be responsible for aligning all aspects of PNC’s security program, including cyber and information security, security operations, enterprise fraud, security architecture and governance.     
    
Since joining PNC in 2013 as chief technology officer, Guild has been responsible for the establishment of PNC’s cyber security center, execution of upgrades to the company’s data center and unified communication strategies, and an extensive employee cyber security education program.
    
Prior to PNC, Guild spent 21 years at Bank of America where she most recently served as chief technology officer of enterprise functions and end-user computing. She previously served as senior network engineer at Intel Corporation.    

Guild serves on the board for the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).

Guild earned a bachelor's degree in computer science, minor in mathematics from University of North Florida.
