Cathleen C. Walker
Cathleen’s long-standing record of success and commitment to clients and community service, combined with an eagerness to take on new challenges, makes her well-suited to lead our efforts in Phoenix, said Louis R. Cestello, executive vice president and head of PNC’s Regional Markets.

Phoenix, AZ., May 30, 2019 – PNC Bank, N.A. today announced the appointment Cathleen C. Walker as the regional president and head of Corporate Banking for Phoenix, effective July 8. Last July, the company announced expansion plans to introduce its local leadership model in Phoenix, a market where Corporate & Institutional Banking already maintains a presence.

“Phoenix is a market where we see tremendous opportunities for continued growth on both civic and business fronts,” said Louis R. Cestello, executive vice president and head of PNC’s Regional Markets. “Bringing PNC’s Main Street bank solutions, local leadership model and philanthropic efforts to Phoenix will allow us to serve the unique needs of this community and clients in the region.”

Walker, who will relocate to the Phoenix area, is currently responsible for the Chicago office of PNC’s Debt Capital Markets loan syndication origination and structuring team. This team supports large corporate, middle market, leveraged, and investment grade clients in various industries, as well as specific industry coverage including financial institutions group, leasing transportation and finance. Additionally, Walker is head of Equipment Finance Loan Syndications. In that role, she is responsible for all aspects of PNC’s equipment finance loan syndication process, including product strategy, origination and distribution.

Beginning her PNC career in 1992 as a member of the Corporate Banking training program, Walker spent several years in PNC’s Commercial Banking group as a relationship manager. Following that experience, Walker worked in loan syndications and was initially responsible for sales and distribution for both primary and secondary transactions, and eventually transitioned to the structuring and origination team and worked with a broad array of clients.

Walker has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, in addition to holding FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 registrations. Active in a number of community organizations, she serves on the board of directors for the JDRF of Western PA, is an emeritus board member of The Woodlands Foundation and a member of the United Way of Allegheny County, Women’s Leadership Council.

“Cathleen’s long-standing record of success and commitment to clients and community service, combined with an eagerness to take on new challenges, makes her well-suited to lead our efforts in Phoenix," Cestello said. “As she works to build out our team and introduce PNC to the region, Cathleen will be instrumental in delivering PNC’s philanthropic support in Phoenix, including PNC Grow Up Great®, our $500 million, multi-year early childhood education initiative to help prepare children for success in school and life.”
