SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 14, 2023 – PNC Private Bank® has appointed Jim Schmelter to lead its San Antonio-based team. In his role as senior vice president and PNC Private Bank market leader, Schmelter will lead a team of local relationship managers who specialize in wealth strategy, investment management, trust & estate services, and credit & cash management solutions.
With over 30 years of demonstrated success in wealth management and investment advisory roles, Schmelter most recently served as senior vice president and investment advisor for the team. He has been with PNC 14 years, and during that time, has helped PNC clients achieve their financial goals throughout the various stages of life, including short-term credit and cash management needs, as well as long-term investment and estate planning goals.

Schmelter earned his Master of Business Administration from Indiana University and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He is also a member of the Masters Leadership Program of Greater San Antonio, Class XX.
