Changes effective July 1
PITTSBURGH, March 5, 2025 – PNC Bank today announced that Mike Anselmo, longtime market leader for PNC’s Corporate Bank in Western and Central Pennsylvania, will retire effective July 1. C.J. Pascarella will succeed him, overseeing the team that serves the largest public and private companies in the region, those with annual revenues greater than $50 million.
Anselmo retires following a distinguished 40-year career, the majority of which was spent at PNC. He started with the bank in 1986, where he served as a business credit relationship manager. He returned to PNC in 2001 and was promoted to his current role in 2008. A native Pittsburgher, Anselmo is dedicated to the community he calls home, currently serving as a board member and treasurer of Oakland Catholic High School and member of the Finance Council at Saint Jude Parish in Shadyside. A 1984 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Anselmo volunteers with The Smeal College of Business and has acted as a mentor to many students over the years. He also holds an MBA from Duquesne University.
“Mike has been a steadfast leader and trusted advisor to clients, delivering consistent results over the course of his career,” said Lou Cestello, head of regional presidents and regional president of Pittsburgh for PNC. “Thanks to Mike’s visionary leadership, we have a solid bench of talent in our corporate banking organization, including C.J., and I have full confidence the team won’t miss a beat during this planned management transition.”
Pascarella brings more than two decades of banking experience to his new role, including 16 years at PNC. He currently serves as the corporate banking sales leader on Anselmo’s team, leading a team that focuses on serving local companies with revenues that range from $50 million to over $3 billion.
“In the nearly two decades I’ve known C.J., he has built a reputation as a dedicated member of team PNC and reliable advisor to his clients,” continued Cestello. “He will excel in his new role, and I look forward to how he will lead our corporate banking business to even greater heights in our headquarters market and the surrounding regions.”
Prior to joining PNC, Pascarella worked at Deloitte and Grant Thornton, assisting clients with comprehensive merger and acquisition due diligence, capital advisory, post-acquisition integration strategy, forensic accounting investigations, litigation support, complex insurance claim recovery and audit services.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business and is an active member of the Pittsburgh community, where he serves as executive board member and treasurer of Learning Disabilities Association of America. He is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh class of XXXIX.
