PITTSBURGH, July 27, 2026 — The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC) announced today that Christian Winward has been named chief information security officer.
Winward joins PNC from FirstBank -- which became part of PNC earlier this year -- where he served as chief information officer and a member of the bank's senior leadership team. His career with FirstBank spanned more than 30 years, beginning as a teller and progressing through leadership roles across technology and project management. As CIO, he led the modernization of the bank's technology capabilities and supported the successful integration of FirstBank into PNC. He is based in Denver, one of PNC’s strategic technology locations.

Winward will report to Guild and will lead PNC’s Enterprise Information Security organization that helps safeguard PNC's digital identity, data, people and technology environment. The organization oversees cyber strategy, attack surface monitoring, security operations, incident response, data protection, governance, risk assessments, and third-party and subsidiary security. It also operates PNC's Global Security Fusion Center, which integrates cyber, physical, fraud and insider threat intelligence to help protect the enterprise.
