PNC Bank Appoints Michael Jannusch to Lead Commercial Banking for Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 25, 2026 – As PNC Bank accelerates its growth in Tennessee, the bank has appointed Michael Jannusch to lead Commercial Banking for the region. A 34-year banking veteran, Jannusch will lead PNC’s Tennessee-based Commercial Banking team, which serves local organizations with annual revenues between $10 million and $100 million in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare and nonprofits, as well as companies in the service-providing industries that are increasingly driving Nashville’s economy.

Jannusch and his growing team deliver the full breadth of PNC’s lending solutions, cash management services and risk management strategies, as well as access to PNC’s specialized services and solutions for treasury management, capital markets, healthcare and equipment finance.

Prior to his promotion, Jannusch achieved success as a Commercial Banking senior relationship manager for PNC’s Tennessee market, drawing upon his extensive experience in commercial and industrial lending, credit underwriting and relationship management to help clients achieve their business and financial goals.

“Mike has played an integral role in growing our local team and business since the early days of PNC’s expansion in the Tennessee market,” said Mike D. Johnson, PNC regional president for Tennessee. “Since 2018, he has brought significant credit experience to our local clients, while his steady leadership and collaborative approach have helped shape the culture and collegiality of our team. I am confident he will continue to excel in this core leadership role.”

Jannusch joined PNC in 2010 as a Commercial Banking relationship manager in Chicago, where he built and managed a substantial portfolio of client relationships, delivered comprehensive credit and treasury management solutions and collaborated across the bank’s lines of business to develop differentiated business strategies. Prior to joining PNC, he held commercial and middle-market banking roles at two Midwest regional banks.

“Today more than ever, companies need bankers who fully understand their business as they grow, scale and evolve against the backdrop of an increasingly dynamic operating environment,” said Krista Flynn, PNC Midwest regional executive for Commercial Banking. “Mike’s vast experience, strong client relationships and proven leadership in Tennessee make him well positioned to guide our local team as we continue to expand PNC’s Commercial Banking presence and support the success of businesses across the state.”

Jannusch’s appointment comes as PNC prepares to add approximately 35 new retail branches in Nashville by 2030, expanding the bank's reach and capabilities to serve the region's growing economy and communities.
